Group chat

PeerAware is a p2p software tool where people connect in workspaces. A workspace has a group chat where you can talk to thousands of workspace members at once. To enhance online collaboration, PeerAware allows you to share your presentations, reports and spread-sheets with others in the group chat. Files of any size and type can be shared, and are indexed by the PeerAware search engine. Co-workers can find shared documents with a distributed full-text search or by browsing member's shared folders.

Group chat features

  • Shared workspace - Users connect together in a workspace where they can communicate in real-time through the group chat.
  • Virtual whiteboard - A virtual whiteboard enables visual collaboration on a shared drawing surface. The group chat is the natural  place to start whiteboard sessions from. Simply start drawing, and when you need input from others you send an invitation to all workspace members. The invitation is displayed in the chat area, and as they click the invitation the drawing is syncronized and displayed.
  • Document sharing - PeerAware allows each user to share their documents. The documents are indexed by content with support for most document types.
  • Distributed search - Search requests are sent to all members of a workspace. The requests are processed and each member return their top results. Based on the search results the found documents can be downloaded, or used as a starting point for browsing shared folders.
